Id consider myself a newbie to this. Since becoming redundant this year I'm going to spend my time day trading as a means to make income. With plenty of time on my hands this might be the best place to start my research.

Im 23, been long term investing for a couple of years and have so far found it hasnt been worth it. Best profits have come from ADO only recently.

After reading the RXL announcement on Friday as soon as it was released and sitting back and watching it rise 40% without buying any... Its made me rethink that the money people take months to hopefully make long term can be made in a matter of hours by day trading successfully. obviously with a higher risk.

Is there money to be made from reading announcements then buying if the news is positive? Or do people already know and have sold by then?

Looking forward to my Mondays now anyway and watching what you guys do and hopefully learning a bit.
