All well and good while things are sailing along nicely however issues can arise that are out of your control and you will wish you had an agent to keep you at arms length to the tenants.
You will find it difficult to get landlords insurance when self-managing unless you go with one of the majors however their policies are rubbish compared to some of the specialised landlord insurance companies.
