(With a title like that, you can rest assured that I am 100% biased in my view, and that I am shamelessly cross-promoting my favourite stock!  But this is an investment of Newcrest's,....and you'll see it's worth knowing about when your investments does something bloody good!  Such as...

find a massive gold-rich copper porphyry SYSTEM, that is prospectively comparable to Golpu, Grasberg, Escondida! etc.

Newcrest's block caving experience matches the first ore body, and this sealed the deal on the relationship.  It's impressive to see NCM wheeler-deal better than BHP did, and secure a stake in Solgold.   But again, it is the ultimate compliment when BHP then tries to buy the property off the unknown junior..(Notable also that BHP got turned down.)
