brings back memories spending hours and hours slowly building up with welding rod the diaphrams on toshiba turbines eaten away by geothermal steam and then carefuly grinding back with a 100mm grinder, at the Calpine geysers project in California.
The steam gases going directly into geothermal turbines are highly corrosive guessing using brine would eliminate that as using a heat exchanger, would mean clean steam could be used.
Wonder how much potential there is using geothermal in SOuth Australian magnetite projects, use the geothermal energy to power generators for electric arc furnaces to form pig iron worth around $600 a ton rather than ship out magnetite at around $130 a ton,
Would produce far less CO2 than using a bessimar type furnace also .
