I found this news article the other day from the ABC. It reads:

"Gold prices are making further mining development near Orange, in central western New South Wales, ever more likely.

The price of gold has reached an all-time high of $US914 an ounce, rising by 30 per cent this month alone.

It is allowing Newcrest Mining to pay off debt from its Cadia and Ridgeway mines and invest in - and possibly fast-track - two new mines.

Cadia Valley operations manager Tony McPaul says it is a good time to be in mining.

"I've never seen anything like the current boom that we're enjoying," he said.

"I think it's fair to say, if you look forward for the demand for gold and for copper, we don't see it dropping off over the next little while.""

Could this be interpreted to mean that Newcrest is one of the interested parties in Copper Hill? Copper Hill is connected to the rail grid hence allowing easy transport of ore to Cadia operations......

If only this were true. Copper Hill would have a sponser then wouln't it. ONly time will tell.
