Yep, that's pretty much how I read yesterdays announcement by NCM, I reckon they could find themselves behind the eight ball if they don't lift their game, they could either lose out to one of the biggies or get taken over themselves if they are not careful, Newcrest says it doesn't need Lihir? maybe they need to think hard on that, and they don't have eight monts or so in my opinion to make up their minds!
