I thought I had stated it clearly.
It's not my goal to make a tax loss, I just accept the reality that the AZY shares I sell by 30 June will deliver one. That is, I'll lose money on them because they are the shares I bought over 5c. I always pair my buys/sells to make it easier to calculate profit or loss at tax time.
The AZY shares I have already sold have made a profit. But that was last financial year. In this FY, I'll be using the AZY losses to offset my gains elsewhere.
