No backtracking from the AFR here @Jabe. You may just be inadvertently trying to find what you want to read but isn't really there.

The article is making reference to other examples of 'potentially egregious activity by corporate officers' presented by readers. Not surprised they're getting a lot of calls from readers to investigate other shady stuff more broadly: "But the extent to which AFR Weekend has been inundated by concerned investors urging examination of a whole range of stocks suggests there is no room for complacency."

As chief71 mentioned, still calling it a 'house of cards' is hardly backtracking.
