Not sure if you're asking for enlightenment on the drill program or the AC technique, but AC is generally a 'rough and fast' (and cheap) albeit somewhat informative method of sampling.
Given that they're in the Lachlan and have shown 'Ridgeway style' mineralisation in their announcements, viewing that kind of information in chips (produced sample from percussion, AirCore) should not be a problem, and you should be able to identify the rock type and alteration etc regardless of mineralisation if you're a reasonable geologist although it is still somewhat subjective.
In the absence of clearly identifiable copper minerals or visible gold, it does still generally come down to the assays unless you've got a deposit/resource that behaves predictably and you've got enough info already eg drill out/infill. AC also generally suffers from more shallow penetration than eg RC/Diamond. Given that Ridgeway was at least 100m vertical and Cadia Hill was in a (hard) granitoid, this is likely a way of either looking through softer rocks like the sediments or having a good sniff while hoping to jag something.
Their position in the Lachlan and results so far however are very interesting to me, all this hoo-hah about directors etc aside. Having Newmont throw money at your projects is also a great bonus, imo. When i saw the core samples on LinkedIn in Feb my mind immediately went to Ridgeway.
No info on these ELs however - they've been somewhat quiet on these, since about Feb and they are what drew me in - albeit i missed getting in by a day and then they made the first few releases pushing it up to 0.04.
