It appears that Newmont will be taking over Newcrest, in what will be the biggest M&A deal in Gold, in history.
It's still too early to know the implications of the deal for Antipa Minerals. But one would assume that Newmont will automatically replace Newcrest as AZY'S largest shareholder at 10%.
If Newmont hangs onto Telfer, then I believe AZY will be the top exploration company for Newmont, to make more massive discoveries in the Paterson Province
