The Australian is reporting the Newmont boss as saying that Telfer remains a key strategic asset and as playing down the possibility of it being sold. Commented that they need to understand the strategic potential of the infrastructure, the Havieron deposit and the wider Paterson district.
So if they are more of a mind to stay than go, what are the implications for us?
I don't have a good enough grasp of the dynamics out there to have a view but welcome thoughts from folks closer to it as to how it might roll.
