Dear Mattminton79,
It is pleasure to see well educated analysis.
Sunstone did not consider the gold permit as a valuable asset and sold them.
Newpeak is paying much more than what they paid for the Sotkamo permits.
It is possible that Sunstone did not have the full idea of the political situation,
and it might have been wise ask as much cash as possible. There is
remaining 17% share of the other Kultatie company,
that is for Nortec remaining from an older deal.
You are correct with our legal system.
I think change of the law is very likely because of it is in the program
of the majority government. Industry is fighting hard to keep things
going as they are. We have also independent courts, and there
resistance is wining especially about environmental permits
but also mining and exploration.
The fact is that Newpeak information is not correct,
I would assume they should have informed at least about
four permit appeals in early Nov 2020
If you check the data in the earlier releases of Newpeak,
it is obvious that their story changes for first Tampere region permits
from transferring of permits (actually 4 permit applications before Oct 2020 and under appeal after Nov 2021)

"The permit issuing process through the government authority TUKES has been slow and rig
availability very limited."

and issuing permits e.g. Dec 23 2021, page 5.
Now Mason says on the video, that bought the new permits because it is
drill ready and there is problems with issuing "temporary permits".
Part of the new permits are valid, but part applications not even announced
as applications on Tukes pages.
