Years ago the company announced that it was entering the milk business .They were going to sell milk and milk products to China and had Chinese partners lined up (Green Lakes,from memory).Bought cows.Sold cows at a loss and the project died.
Over the next few years management passed their time by "looking for opportunities".{ Checking Google under "opportunities'?)
Then,Eureka! ! Nuts. They would grow and sell nuts.Never heard of again.
Now we have avocados.In 5 years time we might actually have some fruit,but fear not in the meantime some large fund or institution will pay our managers big bucks to run around with their watering cans and look after the trees.
