Bumpken my old accountant once told me that going outside of the ASX into the ‘dark pool’ was the way to go if I wanted to sell a large quantity of shares.
Nice mysterious name for something that is logical.
If I had 12 million shares here and wanted to sell what to do?

Currently there are only 67 buyers for 781,973 units and that takes the price down to 26c.

If I listed them as a great lump at 39c then the market will react accordingly and probably the price would go under that level.

She said what most do is speak to the company or, as LST123 said, your broker, and find out who wants a big slab of shares, then agree to the price and choose the time …. and do it.

Market does find out and does react, but by then the deal is done.
