According to the nasdaq.com website, Piedmont closed up 4% last night with the final volume being a very robust 1.89m shares (or 189m shares if converted to the 1:100 version trading on the ASX). The value of shares traded isn't stated but would need to have exceeded US$100m.
There were over US$20m of PLL share purchases pushing the price up since my earlier post. Someone doesn't believe its all doom and gloom (at least for Piedmont)
