PLL have an earn-in agreement for 50% of the project by funding $70M USD. They now need $125M USD, of which both parties will contribute the remaining evenly. How is A11 going to front $42.5M AUD for their half of the remaining funding?
Why would PLL willingly spend a greater than agreed sum when they are contractually obligated to 50% of the project for $70M USD in funding? The only reasonable assumption is, unless PLL comes to the table with funding which I mentioned above and I highly doubt, then A11 is going to need $42.5M AUD. And how do they get that? Debt or capital raise, and capital raise is the safer option.
It's all there in the announcements, you just need to logically join the dots.
