The stocks seem to re-rate when earnings are imminent. For the patient that presents an opportunity as the traders push the price around and the big boys walk the price down as they accumulate and the macro effects play out.
Piedmont raised funds at about 90c Australian over 18 months ago and the share price barely above that now.
Atlantic will re-rate to a degree in 2023 and I think that the major moves will be made in 2024 when we approach production and there is a smaller opportunity for something to come out of left field and rain on our parade.
CXO raised recently just above $1 and look where the price is now as they stockpile for first shipment of DSO.
I tended to buy too early in the past. I now buy half and average down on the dips. I suspect that Atlantic will hold up mostly in the 80's and 90's. Could drop into the 70's.
In 12 to 15 months I expect this will move big time as the fundamentals are outstanding. I wondered what drew Piedmonts attention at an early stage. Some quick homework won ne over.
Thick pegs, shallow, by products, cheapest costs I have seen, no Chinese, mining friendly jurisdiction, close to Port, fully funded, credible partnership, 50% of production sold at market rates, labour available to build the mine and it comes into production early relative to other mines on the drawing board.
Risks for me were Piedmont owning half which limited the upside, inflation rampant in Ghana and while Ghana is mining friendly it is in Africa and with that comes added risk.
I did the numbers and posted on here and the numbers stack up based on some reasonable assumptions.

I agree with others who are expecting an upgrade to the capacity of the concentrator which could be announced with the DFS due out in mid 2023.

I could be wrong but I'm not losing any sleep atm.
