Feldspar is interesting and noted in the video. The pre feasibility study included $206m of Feldspar revenue ($16.5m/yr) and at 330kt/yr had a secondary benefit of slightly reducing the amount of tailing waste by 4.1Mt over the life of mine. While its something Atlantic are looking to do, its presumably a secondary priority to lithium. Its possible that while the lithium elements of the DFS had been improved to the quality required for a DFS, the feldspar elements hadn't.

This would explain its removal from the DFS, as would looking to present a DFS that wasn't dependent on cross-subsidisation. Given the material for Feldspar has already been dug from the ground, its likely to be economic to further process it for a byproduct credit and reduce the size of the post processing tailing pile. It is interesting that this is a product the Ghanaian government has talked about and it was excluded in the DFS.

Its possible that Atlantic have some wider plan that involves a JV to do the processing and selling of Feldspar because its not something that Piedmont is likely to have any operational interest in. There are many permutations but one is MIIF buying Piedmont's interest in Feldspar processing and then having something like a 50/50 JV with Atlantic to process Feldspar.

From the investor presentation slide presentation its still clearly part of the wider plan despite not being in the DFS.
