European Gas (ASX:EPG) has two additional coal packets that it
intersected in drilling at the Folschviller ST1 well in the Lorraine
project, France, in which it has a 75 per cent stake.
The intercepts at 1092.81m depth showed 12.17m net coal and a
gross interval of 24.44m, and at 1150.34m the net coal intercept was
14.92m with gross of 17.54m.
Mud log gas readings were established at 776 metres and continued
to current depth.
All coal seams to date demonstrate strong to very strong gas
readings.
One further major packet is expected to be intersected before
total depth of 1300 metres.
