I agree with your assessment...unexciting, reasonably reliable and fairly bulletproof, fairly predictable earnings and thus dividends, with a chance of upside. Whilst AGL may fall in line with any correction in the market, I think it will revert to the norm more quickly than some others. A safe selection for uncertain times.
