Yes, I definitely do agree, emerging tech and change in infrastructure needs a bit of a kick along. But not at any cost, it needs to be sensible. Which is kind of my frustration with AGL. We all agree that coal is not the way of the future, but in AGL's case, coal can certainly help fund the change to the future, and I therefore don't think it's either black or white or good or bad. There's grey.
Further, philosophically, I kind of trust the market to find the best and cheapest 'new tech' more than I trust govt's to do it. Sounds like you are part of the market trying to do that.
