you are missing a big point.... Bess and ph are storage, not generators outright...
any time nem price approaches zero - there is a surplus. considering renewable output to continues grow... it is the growth of renewables that creates the surplus.... storage is required to make use of that... more storage will result in higher lows and lower highs - this benefits all users of electricity
I suggest you revisit wind capacity... newer units have increased the average a lot more than your stated value... or cheat and google it... and this capacity easily replaces what you claim will take 20 years to do... in less than 10.
