This is where AGL has its benefit. You've mentioned "Cost to buy from Grid" - an AGL battery will be sourcing electricity from it's generational fleet when demand is down. Cost of this is minimal - as one can assume spot prices will be unprofitable at point in time where they are fueling the battery
