There are two general classes of cell for the battery, there’s iron phosphate [LFP] and then the nickel based.
Iron is cheaper but not as high performance. Not many people drive 500ks in one day / every day and dont need that range.
Its the acquisition price that is the barrier that might just about to be removed.
Either way on both batteries Lithium is the required ingredient.

Just some thoughts but I am very bullish on Nickel also.
