Aug 19 (Reuters) - Australian fuel retailer Ampol (ALD) reported a 29% drop in its half-year profit on Monday, hurt by weak refining margins at its Lytton refinery in Queensland and weaker pricing of its products.

The company said net profit after tax from continuing operations was A$233.6 million ($155.69 million) on a replacement-cost basis for the six months ended June, compared with A$329.6 million a year ago and a Visible Alpha consensus estimate of A$256.3 million.
