This deal was never not going to be supported by Amcor shareholders, because it is a very significant one for the company. (I hate to say it because it is a bit hackneyed, but "transformative" is what it is.)
With the stock only trading at a market multiple now, even after the impressive share price move over the past 6 months, there is still meaningful upside, I think, given the earnings growth (in the mid-teen percentages) that will be delivered in the coming years.
I think this should be rated at something like a 20% premium to the average valuation multiples of the broader market.
