From experience, I believe that the huge volumes in this afternoons closing auction was due to the index rebalancing to prepare for Monday’s new ASX 300 inclusion. Take a look at some of the other stocks that have been added/removed to and from the ASX 100/200/300 from the rebalance. You would notice the large volumes in most, if not, all of these stocks. So probably the big boys getting a position in AMI due to our inclusion in the ASX300.
However, of course, this is the first step into getting noticed. Highly doubt that a take over bid would be occurring anytime soon.
AMI still very undervalued IMO and as other posters such as GB analysed!
