I watch with a keen eye and ready to enter at the right time/price. I think AMP with new CEO may sell some assets in the short term to pull any earnings hole/s. He may go international growth? who's to say that with the US pulling out of emerging markets while prioritising homeland investments and with stronger Dollar/interest rates presents an opportunity in emerging markets mostly asia i'd say but he can bring is European mind set to the table and this returns increasing revenue over the mid/long term?
I held for years at 4.25 on 5/2/04 with nice steady div, bought more at 4.65 and 4.45 when she dipped in OCT/NoV 2016 at 4.55 and 4.43 cause of insurance issues, sold at 80% @ 5.24 18/4/17 when i wanted to exit all banking stocks due to my perception of a housing risk at that time (sold all MQG at av 106) sold of sold all AMP even just prior to Royal commission as knew the risks, and kept MQG now 127+ (hindsight)
But i think there could be one final push down (FYI pulled my buy at 3.26 yesterday been there for months) so I am waiting, you're right they'll fix this, and some may remember a scar in a few years but thats all it will be.
