Loki - the guidance is for between 150k and 200k ounces per year. Not just 200k.
As for a 200k/yr target ,its worth noting that part of the AMX resource is 13,909,965 tonnes @ 2.9g/t for 1,304,495 ounces. Thats 6.5 years worth of mining at around 200k /per year alone.
This higher grade component is largely contained in the shallows of konkera north/ kouglaga section of the deposit I believe, and will most likely be the starter pit , with higher grade , easier extraction, faster mine payback.
By the time they exhaust this higher grade part of the resource , there's a very good chance that exploration will yeild other higher grade ores that will come online from the satellite deposits , enabling production at the higher end of that range well over 10 years.
If they can prove up another decent deposit close by to Konks , we may even see the DFS include plans for a larger mine capable of a higher guidance range. Simular to what GRY has been able to do with the stinger deposit.
At this point , we know that AMX have a few contenders for another major deposit at foumbiri,doubema,pampouna and wardaradoo. I'm confident that at least one of these will yeild another major find.
Think that Konkera is the "biggest and best" that amx have to uncover at Batie ?? ....Quite possibly not....
