I think you are right.
The only thing that keeps me from buying at least a small holding in AMX is the fear about global economic conditions and what that might do to the POG. Actual production by AMX could be a fair way off, and if a downturn is lengthy then the gold prices will stay down (in the absence of massive government money printing). In such a scenario I can not see AMX getting the funding to build a mine and they will need to conserve their cash otherwise they could get taken over cheaply.
