Try to haggle a better price from AMX! Tell them to give you a 40% or 45% discount on Nearmap vs the 33% they are offering.
Years ago I enquired Nearmap for basic service and it was $3K/yr for 250MB!!! I was once a very heavy user of Nearmap in a large organisation, they used to offer it for everyone then in came the cost cutters...had to justify it.
At moment, could do with some Nearmap/Metromap, yesterday worked out how to 'API' Google maps into QGIS for a project. That's all pretty good for free software! but doesn't replace the regular and more accurate flyovers.
