My only question is, why retire in France, not in Australia? Or at least, in Portugal, Spain, Mexico? This is a genuine question. I love Australia but I am always asking myself if I would retire here. I often think there are few places with comparable weather, social security, wildlife, outdoors. The social security with Medicare is pretty valuable. Would you be covered in France? How about your friends here? Anyway, a bit off-topic.
