Thanks Huwscor for the link. It is a good piece and touches on many of the themes that WOA have been spruiking for years like protein, taste, useability and regenerative cropping. Was nice to hear this script from another party.

Also really good to see the trials and interest in aged care.

The farmers in the program go to the big question about how to generate demand for plant based protein and how to destigmatise lupin as human food. The mention the WA lupin industry in passing but there doesn't seem to be any industry wide strategy or collaboration. Some serious marketing and more projects like the one in aged care to demonstrate the benefits are needed along the way.

This piece from the New Republic is a long read but worth it for those interested in an analysis of the challenges inmoving away from meat, including the political. Unfortunately it's not going to be easy or fast.

It's good at least to be rid of DCF as they were peddling a LOT of meat, and that jarred with the objectives of the co to build the case for plant based protein.
