hi guys,
One of the threads this afternoon had a bit of unnesesary agro about the gda announcements on the exploration update etc .
since the 4th jan the news refers to the results being announced , and the earlier reports from nov and dec also indicate the field work and the reporting time frames. If someone doesn't know about the general meeting notice coming shortly or the gold results being due next week or due to the heavy work load at the lab, which may delay them a week or so, they haven't been reading the recent company news released to the asx. Without such reading of the news, there is no knowledge about what is coming.
That's part of the research and the advantage of being able to know an announcment is coming, researching what the anouncment subject is about but not knowing the results until the announcement. This goes also for tenement action forecast/ predictions......once the announcment is made the sp moves quickly and it is usually too late to get in at the low prices like presently exist. The point of the wallal downs scenarios was not to try and predict a resource , rather to think about what if, what might be and the good the bad and the ugly scenarios paning out. And if there is a potential upside, the decison to risk and invest funds is done with a better appreciation of an updside to offset the risk . It was never about wether a cubic metre is 1,2 or 3 tonnes ( but I did learn something valuable today that I didn't know before, other than I knew it was heavier but not by what quantum).
I think there is Fe to be found at wallal downs and that is the risk, how much might be identified and how much to invest before it is known. Once it is known, the price reflects the increased knowledge.
The quarterly and annual report dates can be found on all companies on the asx website.
Good to see the moderators are keeping an eye on the posts, thanks guys.
cheers fatstocks.....
