Depends on how big the fine is and how it affects the bottom line. If the criminal case substantiates the charges, then some folks are probably getting criminal sentences of some kind. The market won't care too much about that except in terms of customer confidence. If the current dividend is OK then there may be a bit of a bounce but how much is uncertain. It will also depend on the timing of the bad news to come.
IMHO there won't be any premium put on ANZ for a while though.
