I'm not going to be too critical of those warning of reduced divvies, because anz particularly reduced retained earnings a bit too much imo. That was my opinion a year or more ago when the divvy jumped up, not just recently when basal and asia slow down concerns arose kore recently.
Notice how Shayne engaged in circumlocution today in answering the divvy question in the interview.
But as a poor fortune teller, I predict that anz will control costs, manage indonesia etc loan problems, and eek out enough growth to hold the current dividend level (maybe even increase a token 1 or 2 cents) and eventually create a more reasonable retained earnings buffer.
