A buyback will generally increase the stock's value to the benefit of shareholders as it reduces the supply of shares available on the market. ANZ will buy back shares on the market around August? (the dates are listed in the PR, I just don't remember the specifics) and on the market so you won't have to hand over your shares at a loss. Morningstar has fair value at around $31.50 a share, and various share price targets seem to be around $30. I expect the SP to bounce around $26-$30 for the rest of the year as markets react to COVID, inflation, etc, etc and ANZ's SP performance is closely tie to ASX 200 and Dow Jones performance.
