When I spoke to the exploration manager a few months back he mentioned 5 mill to get the DFS done and dusted. I hope they have someone lined up who will underwrite this raise and I suspect they might do. I would like to see 3 mill or even to see em go whole hog and get 6 mill raised. (I doubt it will be the latter).I hope they have an offtaker lined up for the SOP product so they can drop that info on the mkt soon after the raising.
The price catalysts are all pretty sweet and juicy from here on in. We have a 45 billion dollar in ground resource value for the SOP, a supportive state government (building roads) who badly need to show they can grow the pie, not just tax it and destroy Australia's investment status. We have a product that appears to be very good, and a product the world absolutely requires.
We have a 30% carry on some great exploration ground, our next door neighbour GOR looking like a prime takeover target, the majors talking exploration as opposed to to aquisition in terms of gold resource growth and SBM onboard to the tune of 70% on the exciting gold ground.
As a side note I personally think the big gold companies should be able to offset the fairly recent increase in royalties against investment into potash and exploration and other resource types. If you look at the recent stoush with BHP it is clear the big boys Tinto, BHP are getting a better deal regards royalties. All the while they have moved to contract labour hire screwing the average person out of any and all security..... and you wanna try using the fair work ombudsman to complain about even the most basic and sensible of approaches to workers rights in this instance...... technically you dont really work for anyone, its a sad joke. As a plebeian I do get it, strong iron ore industry is good for Australia, mining generally is very important for the economy, well done on reducing costs. But not cool Tinto, not cool. My suggestions reasonable. Your attitude reprehensible and incredibly short sighted.
But I digress!
So the catalysts are
1. Not having a potential raise over our heads and being reasonably cashed up once raise is completed.
2. Any of the folllowing..
-Offtakes on SOP
-Positive field trails SOP.
-Possible price increase in SOP (which I will look into a bit more)
-Further infrastructure spend by the state govt
- positive results out of SO4, our neighbour, possible tie up and capital reduction.
- possible left field investment based on our huge upside.
-Positive SBM annoucement regarding exploration, on targets, drilling etc..
- possible investment or brokers notes put out by our friendly mc friend friends at Hartleys, showing massive potential, very low capex, high IRR etc.
The downside is that Shackleton botches the cap raising again and we get annihilated. But when I spoke to the company representitve they were very aware of the fact that the last raise was a value destructive nightmare of a thing. Our interests align with those of Hartleys now. So technically they have our best interests at heart.
