News: APT UPDATE 1-Amazon Australia signs up Zip Co buy now, pay later service, page-21

I’m thinking zip will do more for amazon in Australia than amazon will do for zip (except the share price!). It’s opened large distribution centres all over the country side & now needs customers - zip signed bang 1.5Mn ready customers to market to. I’m not sure how it works with the no surcharging though? Amazon already takes their cut, now zip essentially a second cut? Longer term for expansion may be good news for zip if they enter overseas with their oz product.

Im tending to think apt is competition to the likes of amazon here to an extent & perhaps that’s why apt didn’t sign amazon?
