Once again the open cut proposal has reared its ugly head. This has always been the aim for AQC. The previous owners of the mine shut it down because of problems associated with underground mining(issues with gas and flooding). In my opinion the current proposal will not transpire without this last ditch effort to allow open cut. The bottom line is that underground mining at Dartbrook was terminated.
