The Board may be disappointed by the decision but this shareholder is not.
If this purchase has gone ahead, we could have kissed goodbye to aviation competition forever in Australia.
Now it is up to the Board of AQZ to get out there and make the company the strongest in Australian aviation.
Consider the real reason Qantas wanted to take over AQZ. They did not want Virgin having access to up to 30 E190s without capital expenditure. They did not want Virgin being able to match them with route penetration and frequency.
It behoves the Board to act in the interests of shareholders and do deals with all airlines and not take the soft option of a lazy, anti competitive deals with QAN.
