Interesting in the company announcement, it mentions a further strengthening of the base at Darwin and enhanced tourism possibilities.
Alliance are in a good position to become the main operator in Darwin if Air North goes or shrinks. The Townsville - Darwin and Darwin - Dili runs would suit Alliance aircraft. However, everything with regard to RPT routes probably has to sit in abeyance until the ownership of Virgin is sorted out.
