So if the ACCC approves the deal AQZ’s share price will rise significantly however the question is what will happen if the ACCC blocks it which seems the most likely outcome. AQZ’s share price is already very depressed and seems to have been more negatively than positively influenced by QAN’s proposed takeover. One concern I have is whether QAN will retain its 19% holding if the deal gets blocked and the overhang this would create if they decide to sell out of AQZ. I would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts on this.
