It is noteworthy that AQZ hasn’t made any announcements to the ASX on the plans they have to cooperate with VA (and which the ACCC have commenced their consultation on). Neither have they released anything other than on social media on the arrival of the first E190 on Thursday and what their plans are to deploy these 14 aircraft.
My assumption is that their hands are tied by VA and the need to work in with their relaunch publicly. VA will no doubt be looking to keep QF guessing as long as possible on what they are up to. Further the inter-state travel bans mean that VA is still largely in hibernation so they have no need to outline their plans just yet. Maybe we will learn more when Bain Capital officially takes over later in November.
