Far to say that Eagleview is beating the pants off Nearmap in the race to get new imagery into the market, with the latest Eagleview article mentioning that their imagery was on NBC's Today Show Friday morning, with a focus on the insurance industry.
If you look at the Eagleview website, almost all the stories are dedicated to different elements of Hurricane Harvey.
Meanwhile, I have only seen a couple of posts from Rob Caroll (Bus Development - Nearmap) which would suggest that $NEA are flying the areas of Texas affected....but imagery is limited, Rob only has 188 followers and he appears to have taken down one of his tweets with actual imagery of housing damage, instead of the tweet below which just calls out the military support.
Clearly $NEA still don't have the number of active planes in the USA to compete with Eagleview in this situation and their PR machine needs some oil as well, as they have really missed the boat on this one.
Our only saving grace could be more recent images of the region if we have been flying it more recently than Eagleview.
