I was recently in Namibia and read the local papers. The story given was that an existing lithium mining enterprise had been exporting significant quantities of unprocessed ore and that this was not approved and lead to ministerial action. I cannot provide independent verification but it is what I read in that paper. To me this sounds smart and suggests appropriate governance as they don't seem to want to be just holes in the ground at the lowest points of the value chain. Going to concentrate and maybe down the track midstream just sounds like a better way to capture value for the country and should attract more long term and enduring projects, hopefully AS2. I would see this as a positive in general and positive competitively for AS2 imo.
