In its first major debt sale after the collapse of the Mario Draghi-led government, Italy raised six billion euros from the sale of the bond maturing in April 2035, seeing investor demand worth over 40 billion euros ($39.8 billion), according to lead manager memos seen by Reuters.

ECONOMY ISTAT releases July retail sales data (0800 GMT). Bank of Italy releases August data on Target 2 liabilities and European Central Bank funding to Italian banks.

(*) ENERGY Italy could consider lowering the heating temperature in industrial and residential buildings by 2 degrees Celsius in case of a "catastrophe" over Russian gas flows, the minister for ecological transition told Corriere della Sera in an interview.

COMPANIES SALVATORE FERRAGAMO SFER.MI Revenues at Italian luxury group Salvatore Ferragamo topped market forecasts in the first half of the year despite a slight slowdown in the second quarter due to COVID-19 restrictions in China.

TELECOM ITALIA TLIT.MI In a message to managers, Telecom Italia CEO Pietro Labriola said on Tuesday the positive trend seen in the first half of the year had been maintained in July and August.

Various investment banks tell us that the value of the sum of the parts of TIM is well above what they told us previously, he added.

(*) MONTE DEI PASCHI BMPS.MI , ANIMA HOLDING ANIM.MI Anima could subscribe up to 5% of Monte dei Paschi's capital increase and could invest further cash in the troubled lender based on commercial agreements made with the asset manager, MF reported, adding Anima's total contribution would amount to between 150-250 million euros. The paper added that any potential agreement between the two had yet to be defined and the parties had yet to start official talks.

(*) JUVENTUS JUVE.MI Kylian Mbappe played chief tormentor as Paris St Germain started their Champions League campaign by beating Juventus 2-1 at home on Tuesday, their first victory against the Italian side.

(*) AS ROMA ASR.MI The stock will be delisted from the Milan stock exchange as of Sept. 14 following a bid on the company by Romulus and Remus Investments, the bidder said in a statement late on Tuesday.

(*) COMAL CMLA.MI , ENEL GREEN POWER ENEI.MI Comal's subsidiary BC Renewable Energy and Enel Green Power have signed a framework agreement for the construction of photovoltaic power plants with a capacity of to 287 megawatts (MW) in a deal worth up to 98 million euros, Comal said in a statement on Wednesday.
