SYDNEY, Aug 1 (Reuters) - Australia's surplus on trade goods widened modestly in June, helped by a rise in exports of farm goods and liquefied natural gas, data showed on Thursday.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics reported the balance on goods rose to A$5.59 billion ($3.66 billion), from a downwardly revised A$5.05 billion in May and above market forecasts of A$5.0 billion.
Exports rose 1.7% from a month earlier, led by gains in commodities, while imports added 0.5% from the previous month mostly on capital goods including aircraft.
