I really discount the religious side of this. imo its primitive tribalism.
funny that both revere the same prophets and the same God. Islam is an offshoot of Judaism just as Christianity is.
I think the key to this is the 1949 partition war. the Arabs/Muslims lost and have been held captive in their own land for generations. they've been frequently "invaded" by the Israeli military, arrested and tortured, killed and restricted in what they can do and where they can go by an alien force.
if Israel hadn't restricted Gaza in such a way, there would be no Hamas.
