We're all part of a system - a system that many of us did not design nor desire and yet still adhere to even as grudgingly. We do however, have some choices - one is needs versus wants. Wonder how many feel similarly as the person in the following video?:

Just by the fact that there are such videos indicate the difficulties of actually 'running away from society' - you can escape for a bit from the mon-fri routine but then return - the video was made and utilizing mass viewed social platforms - as indeed does this very post and as does the following video series in 4 parts of a man living in nice surroundings alone for decades and watched by millions as someone decided to put it on the same social media platform as the above:

I'd say internet outage, virtual cloud storms or storage or electronic payment systems are the least of his worries. A more simple but harder life and more akin to sociatel walking away.

    Excerpt:

If you spend a year without going out then you'll spend a year without seeing anyone. A true escape from the clutches of authorities.

The isolation is not for everyone thus pretty much stuck with a system that is both corrupt, broken and getting worse. AIMO
